Here at APES Shelter and Rescue, we're consistently striving to enhance our services and provide the very best for the exotic animals in our care. As part of this ongoing commitment, we have updated our adoption fee structure, which reflects both the level of care provided to our animals and the support we offer to new pet owners.

Understanding Our New Adoption Fees

Our adoption process has always been enriched by the dedication and resources we invest in each animal's welfare. The newly structured adoption fees ensure that we can maintain and improve these standards. Here’s a breakdown of the updated fees for those seeking to adopt one of our beloved residents:

• Reptiles: The adoption fee for reptiles is now starting from £50. This fee covers basic health checks, diet plans, and a starter care guide specific to your new scaled friend’s needs.
• Birds: For our avian adoptees, the fee is now starting from £50. This includes initial dietary supplies, health screening, and guidance on creating an enriching and safe environment for your feathered companion.
• Small Mammals: The fee for small mammals, such as ferrets and rabbits, has been updated to start from £10. Included are health evaluations, behavior assessments, and tips for optimal care suited to their unique needs.
• Inverts: The fee for adopting inverts is newly set to start at £10, which covers comprehensive assessments and specialized care advice to help ensure a smooth transition into their new home.

These fees are integral to our ability to provide ongoing shelter, health care, and nutrition for every animal that comes through our doors. By choosing to adopt from APES, you are not only gaining a new family member but also playing a pivotal role in promoting the welfare of exotic species.

In addition to these adoption fees, we're pleased to introduce optional add-on packages including neutering, microchipping, and more, available for your consideration at the time of adoption.
